I have been reeling inside for the past couple weeks, as I am sure some of you have. You see, when I focus on me, our family, and our farm, it is easy to worry about the uncertainties that lie ahead. But, God reminded me this morning that His mercies are new each day and that I need to focus on what I (we) do have! You see, in Lamentations 3: 22-23, the Bible (God’s Word), tells us that, “The steadfast love of the Lord never ceases; his mercies never come to an end; they are new every morning; great is your faithfulness.” I don’t know what you believe, where you stand in eternity, nor want to judge anyone. I just wanted to remind you that today and always, God loves you, He is with you, and He will carry you through these hard times.
I also want you to know that we love you enough to keep working hard each day to provide food for the coming months. We are essential workers. But, I don’t want you to put us on a pedestal. This is what we normally do. However, I do want to praise and ask for prayer for all the medical workers and researchers that are on the front lines, working long hours during this warlike pandemic, COVID-19. May the Lord give them strength to get out of bed each day, to face the uncertainties, the darkness, the struggles that await them; the peace to know that He loves them and is watching over them; and the hope for a cure. Amen
